Intra-College Debate Competition

The Intra-College Debate Competition (English/Nepali) is on Friday, September 9 (Bhadra 24, 2079).
All the Trinity students who wish to take part in the competition should register at the Reception latest by Wednesday, September 7, 2022 (Bhadra 24, 2079).
Note - The debate will be held between groups of 2 participants. Participants are requested to form a group of 2 members.

Format:
- The members of the proposition side ( team in favor of the topic) are called P1 and P2
- The members of the opposition side (team against the topic) are called O1 and O2.
- The first debate is opened by the proposition group. The first speaker, P1, gets 3 minutes to present his/her case.
- Once, the first speaker has finished, O1 from the opposite team will be called to present his ideas and refute the propositions' ideas. O1 will be given 3 minutes to present his/her arguments.
- After O1 the second speaker from the proposition, P2 will be called. P2 will be given 2 minutes to refute the arguments of the opponent and wrap up his/her team's arguments.
- After P2 has wrapped up his arguments, O2 will be called to conclude the debate from the opposition side. O2 will get 2 minutes to conclude the debate.
